Michael & The Midnight Riders Win 1st Place Kosciusko County Fair Parade July 11, 2010 found Michael and his band riding on a float in Warsaw, IN for the Kosciusko County Fair. They played and sang all along the parade route as parade watchers clapped, danced and sang along. As the unit passed the Reviewing Stand, one of the Parade Officials approached the float and handed them a big blue 1st place ribbon! Michael and the band have been winning parades over the past year in almost all that they have participated in. They are very honored by this and wish to thank all who voted for them! Michael and the Midnight Riders will be appearing July 15, 2010 at the Kosciusko County Fair from 5:00-7:00 PM, where they can thank those people personally! They hope to see all of those of you there that are able to attend! They are doing a great show with a Patriotic ending. They then will be travelling to New Castle, IN on July 17th for a concert there! They hope to see many of you on the road at various Venues that they are performing at!
Michael Celebrates 31 Years
Michael celebrated his 31st year as a full time country music entertainer this July 4th! He performed a concert on Saturday at the American Countryside Farmers Market for a great crowd and then was surprised by his band, staff, family and friends on Sunday with parties to help him celebrate this milestone. Michael wants to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers over the past 31 years and for giving him such a great career. He says he is looking forward to the next 31 years! Michael will be on the road this year more so than he has been for the past few years. Come out and help him celebrate! See ya there!
Michael and Band HUGE Success in Frankfort, Kentucky!
Michael and the Midnight Riders were at the Country Place Jamboree, Frankfort, KY on June 26th. The crowd received them just great and the show was a killer show! Lots of high energy, great music and a whole lotta fun! Bill Felten filled in for Michael's current lead player and did a great job! Michael has been asked to do a return show to the CPJ and the plans are in the works for his Agents to set up the return appearance! Michael and the band talked about how well they were treated and how great the people were to them. Michael was given a DVD of the show immediately following and portions of it will be placed on youtube.com and Michael's FaceBook page very shortly!
Michael and Band win 1st Place in Memorial Day Parade
May 31, 2010, Memorial Day, found Michael and the Midnight Riders riding and performing on a float in the Osceola, IN Memorial Day Parade. Michael performed live with the band and as they passed the Reviewing Stand, and Parade Official ran out to the float and presented Michael with the 1st Place Trophy in the Musical Category! Michael left he trophy on the front of the float for the duration of the parade and happily displayed it to the fans along the remaining parade route. We want to congratulate Michael and the band on a great job. Michael wishes to thank everyone who worked so hard to make this a beautiful float! Michael will be performing in many parades this season to help in the promotion of his new CD, to be released at the end of this year. Come out and cheer him and the Midnight Riders on. Michael Wins Another Award!
Saturday, March 20, 2010 was the Osceola Community Theatre Awards Show. Michael was asked to be a performer on the show. He accepted and was very well received. Many of you know that Michael brings his road show to the Theatre once a month. One of the Awards that the Theatre gave out was, "Best Guest Entertainer". Michael and his band were up for this Award against 2 other very talented acts that have and do perform at the Theatre. Michael and the band won the Award and Michael, along with Duet Partner, Sheilia Dolph and Bass Guitar Player, James Church, accepted the Award. Michael is very proud of this Award and is very proud of his band, The Midnight Riders, for helping him in receiving it. Congrats!!
Michael Hires New Drummer
Michael is pleased to announce that he has hired a new drummer, Cory Kiser. Cory will start rehearsal with Michael and the Midnight Riders immediately following Michael's March 13th show! He will be a great addition to Michael's show. Cory is a real showman! He has his own style of playing and it fits perfectly with Michael's style! Cory has a great personality and is also very humble. He is very serious about his playing and has a huge commitment to his music and the performance of it. Michael is very excited to bring Cory on board. Be sure to shake hands with him at the autograph area after the shows and take a chance to get to know him.!
Valentine' s Concert HUGE Success!
Saturday, February 6, 2010 found Michael and the Midnight Riders at the Osceola Community Theatre is Osceola, IN. The parking lot started to fill up around 6:00 pm and then it was a steady stream of cars entering the lot! The doors to the Theatre opened at 6:30 pm. By 7:15 pm the house was filling up fast and they were still coming in! As the Midnight Riders took to the stage to open the show for Michael, they were still lined up at the door waiting to get their tickets! The Theatre staff had to bring chairs up from the lower level in order to be able to seat everyone!
The show was full of love songs for the season. Special Guests were Melodie Nickerson and Harlan Marvel. Both were huge crowd pleaser' s and Michael is looking forward to having them back on the show! Melodie sang contemporary style country, while Harlan sang traditional style country. There was something in this show for all. As the show came to a close, Michael had Melodie come up and sing Martina McBride's "Valentine". No other song could have been more appropriate! Several concert goers brought and donated water for Michael's "Water For Haiti" project. Many thanks to them! The amount of cases of bottled water that is filling the lobby of the Theatre and Michael's offices is very exciting! There is still time for you to donate if you would like.
